The Bahá’í Association for Social Advancement (Gianni Ballerio) was created in 2003 and is currently represented and active in all regions of Italy. The functioning of the Association derives its inspiration from Bahá’í principles. It implements projects at the local, national and international level which are educational, social, cultural and civic minded in nature and which have a spiritual and ethical basis.

The Association promotes principles such as the equality of men and women, education on human rights, values of human dignity, unity of mankind, consultation as a means of overcoming problems, antagonism and any sort of prejudice.

The Association co-operates with all those who, in different areas of human endeavor, are committed to promoting the development of a culture and civilization of peace.
